Feb 21, 2019 (newstodate): Japan's Sapporo Airport will welcome Finnair as its first first European carrier since 2002 to introduce scheduled flights.
With the first flight on December 13, 2019, Finnair will be offering two weekly rotations on the route from Helsinki operated with with Airbus A330 aircraft.
The services will be seasonal only, ending on March 27, 2020.
Sapporo will become Finnair's fifth destination in Japan, with Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka already in the network and securing Finnair the position as the largest European carrier into the Japanese market.
