Feb 18, 2019 (newstodate): The unexpected demise of flybmi left several routes in a temporary void - but alternatives are now getting into place. flybmi's route between Aberdeen and Esbjerg, in Denmark's off-shore center, is thus to be taken over by Danish Air Transport starting from February 25, 2019, and the route between Aberdeen and Oslo, in Norway, will be operated instead by Loganair starting from March 4, 2019, in competition with SAS. The route between Aberdeen and Esbjerg will be operated daily on workdays, and Oslo will be served by Loganair with six weekly rotations.
Since 2016, flybmi has also been operating on the route between Norrkoping, in Sweden, and Munich - and the future of this route is still unsettled.
