Feb 01, 2019 (newstodate): Kazakhstan is close to landing a new air services agreement with USA.
Talks were conducted in September 2018 to lay the groundwork for a new agreement to allow the opening of direct flights between the two markets.
As earlier reported, the Kazakh president has ordered the country's airlines to prepare for opening of flights to the USA, and the privately-owned Air Astana would be a candidate for launch of US-bound flights.
Already in 2010, Air Astana named Strike Aviation its cargo GSA in the US market with effect from March 12, 2010.
