Feb 20, 2019 (newstodate): The Danish scheduled and ACMI carrier DAT is to relocate all aircraft, cockpit and cabin crews to its Lithuanian subsidiary, DOT.
With the changes transferring resources to the Lithuanian operational license, DAT will gain in operational flexibility and optimize the utilization of its fleet and crews, allowing it to allocate capacity to all contracts without the restraints from operating under two different licenses barring cross-utilization of aircraft and crews.
The Danish cockpit and cabin crews will remain based in Denmark but will be available for all flights with the carrier's aircraft.
After this, all flights by the company will be performed under the Lithuanian license both on domestic and international routes, while the aircraft will remain on the Danish register.
Exempt from the change will be the two MD-80 aircraft that will remain on the Danish license.
