Feb 21, 2019 (newstodate): Shanghai Airlines will be new airline customer at Hungary's Budapest Airport from this summer.
With the first flight on June 7, 2019, the carrier will be offering three weekly rotations on the route between Shanghai Pudong and Budapest Airport using Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
Plans for the route although with four weekly rotations were mulled already late 2018 by China Eastern that is today the owner of Shanghai Airlines, and both airlines' designations will show on the monitor.
Today, the only direct flight to China from Budapest is provided by Air China since May 1, 2015, now operating three weekly rotations with Airbus A330-200 aircraft from Beijing to Minsk in Belarus, continuing to Budapest and returning to Beijing.
