Feb 01, 2019 (newstodate): At long last, the Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate for Civil Aviation has now issued the AOC for the country's new carrier FlyBosnia.
The AOC was landed on January 11, 2019, and the airline that currently has one Airbus A319 in its fleet expects to take in a further two Airbus A320 Family aircraft later in 2019.
The carrier first aimed at lifting off on its first commercial flight in June, 2018, but the AOC process has been drawing out.
The carrier will soon start out with flights from Sarajevo to London and Frankfurt as well as to Riyadh, Jeddah, and Bahrain in the Middle East.
Further down the line flights to European destinations including Rome, Paris and Moscow will follow.
Behind the new carrier is the al-Shiddi Group, the largest Saudi investor in Bosnia and Herzegovina and operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2006.
