Feb 27, 2019 (newstodate): Moscow's three leading international airports all saw cargo volumes down in January 2019.
The largest of the three, Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport thus dropped 13.2 percent, y-o-y, to 18,489 tonnes, Moscow Domodedovo Airport was down 12.4 percent to 7,272 tonnes, and Moscow Vnukovo Airport dropped 22.7 percent to 2,876 tonnes in January 2019.
As for mail volumes, only Moscow Vnukovo Airport managed to see volumes growing significantly in January 2019.
The airport thus handled 952 tonnes of mail during the month, an increase by 26.2 percent, y-o-y.
