Dec 19, 2019 (newstodate): The Swedish regional airline Braathens Regional Airways AB has taken over the first of a series of five new ATR 72-600 aircraft at the factory in Toulouse.
The batch of ATR 72-600 is delivered under a lease contract with Avation PLC signed in September 2019.
Sweden's second-largest airline, BRA will receive all five aircraft during the period from this year's last quarter to Q1, 2020.
BRA currently operates a fleet of 23 aircraft lifting some 2.2 mio passengers annually.
In August 2019, BRA contracted Skyworld for re-marketing of its fleet of eight Avro RJ100 and two Avro RJ85 aircraft, following its strategy to go for an all-turboprop aircraft fleet from the end of this year.
