Dec 06, 2019 (newstodate): Postal and union support strikes in Finland left a mark on Finnair's cargo performance in November 2019.
Compared to November 2018, available scheduled cargo tonne kilometres increased by 3.8 percent, while revenue scheduled cargo tonne kilometres dropped by 3.9 percent.
The carrier thus lifted a total of 14,855 tonnes of cargo, down one percent, y-o-y, with loads carried on the important Asian lanes dropped 8.7 percent to 10,257 tonnes.
North Atlantic traffic was less affected, and loads increased 29.6 percent to 1,245 tonnes, while the European cargo also increased by 19.9 percent to 3,311 tonnes.
During the first 11 months of this year, Finnair has lifted a total of 159,471 tonnes of cargo which is still up by a healthy 10.2 percent, y-o-y.
