Dec 13, 2019 (newstodate): The privately-owned Ukrainian charter and LCC carrier SkyUp Airlines has fulfilled its plan for a doubling of its aircraft fleet in 2019.
The carrier thus took delivery of its 10th aircraft, a Boeing 737-900 aircraft formerly operated by now-defunct Jet Airways, on December 12, 2019.
In the fleet are now two Boeing 737-700, two Boeing 737-900ER, and six Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
But the airline's plans do not stop there; SkyUp Airlines is preparing to add a further four aircraft in 2020, two Boeing 737 MAX 8 as well as two Boeing 737-900ER aircraft also sourced from Jet Airways.
Starting operations from May 2018, SkyUp is fully owned by Ukrainian capital, with 50 percent of the stake held by the owners of the country's leading tour operator JoinUp, Tatiana and Yuri Alba.
