Dec 03, 2019 (newstodate): Poland's largest privately-owned airline, the charter and ACMI carrier Enter Air looks back on a successful and busy summer 2019.
The carrier saw full utilization of its own 21 Boeing 737-800 aircraft and was even forced to lease-in capacity during the peak season, adding two Boeing 737-800 leased from the Slovak ACMI carrier Go2Sky, and two Airbus A320 on a lease contract with the Bulgarian carrier Electra Airways, also covering up for the two Boeing 737 MAX aircraft that were grounded since early 2019.
In the customer portfolio were Poland's four largest tour operators as well as a number of other clients.
In May 2019, Enter Air bought 49.9 percent of the shares in Germania Flug AG, a subsidiary of the bankrupted German carrier Germania, from Swiss-owned Albex Aviation.
With the acquisition, Enter Air gained a firm foothold in the German charter market benefiting from Germania Flug's customer portfolio, airport slots and management, as well as the airline's four Airbus A319 aircraft on form contracts in the summer 2019 season.
