Dec 13, 2019 (newstodate): Lithuania's Vilnius Airport has seen its cargo volumes on an unbroken positive growth curve in 2019, with November as no exception.
A total of 1,320 tonnes of cargo was handled in November 2019, an increase by 12,45 percent, y-o-y, which adds to the January-November totals at 12,633 tonnes that is also an increase by 8.32 percent, y-o-y.
In November, cargo volumes were 1,040 tonnes and mail volumes were 280 tonnes - an increase by 12 and 14 percent, respectively, compared to last year.
Turkish Cargo is contributing strongly to the positive cargo growth at Vilnius Airport after launching freighter flights since April 19, 2018, with two weekly Airbus A330-200F rotations, even occasionally operating a Boeing 747-400F freighter from ASL on the route as was the case on November 30, 2019.
