Dec 17, 2019 (newstodate): The coming new airport infrastructure in Greenland is followed closely by the USA, as has been demonstrated vividly.
   It is now expected that US investments in the three airports at Ilulissat, Nuuk and Qaqortoq will be included in US military budgets for next year, with a decision probably in February 2020.
   Also Kangerlusssuaq Airport may receive US investments, much needed to maintain the airport's runway that is operated only with limitations.
  The US investments in Greenland's airports reflect their importance for US military positioning in the Arctic region that is gaining importance as more maritime lanes are opening and the region's strategic position is gaining increased attention from many sides.
