Nov 20, 2019 (newstodate): Qatar Airways has now named a new man to head cargo sales in the Nordic and Baltic markets.
Taking on the position is Danny Robbeson from November 1, 2019, after serving as Qatar Airways Cargo Regional Cargo Sales Manager North & Western Europe from January 2015 till taking up the new assignment.
Referring to Bas Wijenberg, Qatar Airways Cargo Snr Mgr Regional Cargo, Mr Robbeson will be based in Amsterdam, managing the Nordics & Baltic markets where sales and marketing is performed by cargo GSSA NordicGSA in the Nordic markets and Skypartners in the three Baltic markets.
During the winter 2019/20 schedule, Qatar Airways is operating a total of 67 weekly flights between Doha and its Nordic destinations, including 18 weekly flights at Copenhagen, 14 weekly flights at Stockholm, Oslo and Helsinki, and seven weekly flights at Gothenburg - each carrying some 20 tonnes of cargo on fully-booked passenger flights.
On the cargo side, this would tentatively translate into a total of 1,340 tonnes of cargo uplift per week, in addition to the freighter operations at Oslo Airport.
