Nov 27, 2019 (newstodate): The new Danish carrier Great Dane Airlines is growing rapidly since it first took-off on June 14, 2019.
The carrier launched business with one Embraer 195LR aircraft delivered on May 16, 2019, adding a second Embraer 195LR on June 24, 2019 - and now a third aircraft delivered on November 27, 2019, at the carrier's home port at Aalborg, in northern Denmark.
The aircraft are acquired by the carrier's private local investor, Eigil B. Christensen, who transfers the aircraft to Great Dane Airlines on a leasing contract, and plans are already under preparation for acquisition of a fourth aircraft.
Great Dane Airlines started out with scheduled flights on a network from Aalborg Airport to destinations including Dublin, Edinburgh and Nice alongside offering capacity for Danish tour operators.
But the focus has since been turned to charter and ACMI services, putting aside plans for scheduled operations till a later date.
