Nov 21, 2019 (newstodate): Riga Airport has seen cargo volumes down during the first 10 months of this year.
A total of 22,205 tonnes were handled at the airport, a drop by 4.8 percent, y-o-y.
Total volumes included 12,461 tonnes of cargo and 9,744 tonnes of mail.
On November 6, 2019, Riga Airport, DHL Latvia and real estate developer Castor Construction signed an agreement on the construction of what is claimed to become Europe's most modern shipment processing and logistics centre to be operated by DHL and commissioned within a year.
