Nov 27, 23019 (newstodate): As the first European operator, a Danish carrier has taken delivery of a new Gulfstream G500 executive jet aircraft.
   The aircraft - the first in Europe - was delivered to Danish charter airline Blackbird Air Charter immediately after EASA's certification of the aircraft type on October 11, 2019.
   For Blackbird Air Charter, the G500 aircraft will open up a new business window in the charter and VIP flight segments, offering flights up to a range of 9,600 km at Mach 0.925 with 14 passengers.
   Initially expected to join the fleet of Blackbird Air Charter already by January 2019, the delivery of the aircraft has been delayed due to a lengthy certification process.
   After a reorganization in 2017, Blackbird Air Charter comprises three business units, all headed by Mr Christiansen.  
   One business unit provides the market with passenger and cargo air charter solutions, another business unit is Blackbird Crew, and the third - and new - business unit is Blackbird Air with an own AOC.
