Nov 21, 2019 (newstodate): Norwegian's long-haul routes have proved to be successful, but need more feeder connections.
-We are currently operating 540 routes to over 150 destinations worldwide, but this is still not enough to feeding sufficient volumes of passengers into our long-haul low-cost route network, said Bjorn Kjos, since July this year in a new role as Advisor to the Chairman of the Norwegian Group Board
-In September 2019, we announced a partnership with EasyJet, followed by the announcement in October of our partnership with JetBlue that is the largest airline at several of Norwegian’s bases in the USA, including New York JFK and Fort Lauderdale.
-This was one step forward. But more is needed, and in the very near future we will announce another new strong partnership to bring things further forward, said Mr Kjos at this week's IATA Wings of Change Conference, in Berlin.
No further details on the coming partnership were provided, though, at this stage.
