Nov 28, 2019 (newstodate): Cargo volumes on Russian carriers dropped by four percent, y-o-y, during January-October, 2019.
A total of 918,234 tonnes of cargo was carried, against 956,369 tonnes the year before.
Among the 35 carriers on the list, #1 AirBridgeCargo lifted 445,794 tonnes, down 7.5 percent, y-o-y, #2 Aeroflot carried 176,161 tonnes and down 3.4 percent, #3 Pobeda lifted 45,451 tonnes and up 43 percent, #4 Sibir carried 30,868 tonnes and up 11.2 percent, while #5 Rossiya carried 30,358 tonnes, also up 14.2 percent, y-o-y.
While down 2.9 percent, y-o-y, in joint volumes, the top-five airlines still accounted for 78.7 percent of all cargo on Russian airlines during the first 10 months of 2019, corresponding to 728,631 tonnes of cargo.
Earlier ranking first on the top-5 list, Volga-Dnepr is now relegated to #12 with 12,975 tonnes of cargo, dropping 41.1 percent, y-o-y.
Also member of the Volga-Dnepr Group is Atran that is ranked #11 with 14,619 tonnes, up 57.4 percent, y-o-y, during the first 10 months of 2019.
