Nov 25, 2019 (newstodate): One of this year's last Airbus A220-300 aircraft deliveries to Latvia's airBaltic is now in the air.
The aircraft performed its first flight on November 20, 2019, and is thus now amid its test flight program prior to delivery by early December.
This will be 21st aircraft in the fleet of airBaltic that is due to receive one more aircraft before year-end, ending the 2019 delivery program with 22 aircraft in the fleet.
The two aircraft are also the first in the new series of 30 Airbus A220-300 aircraft ordered in May 2018, and airBaltic has signed a sale-leaseback contract with Chorus Aviation Capital for the first five new Airbus A220-300 aircraft in the series, with the next three aircraft under this contract to be delivered by the end of Q3, 2020.
