Oct 29, 2019 (newstodate): Officially opened on September 3, 2019, the WFS Pharma Centre at Copenhagen Airport is on track with its pharma handling certification process.
As planned, the final audit, Stage 2, of the Good Distribution Practice was completed earlier this month without any findings, and the WFS Parma Centre is now expecting the official certificate to be issued shortly, proving the full compliance with EU's GDP standards and requirements.
The GDP certification is a final step towards the completion of the IATA CEIV certification process.
The WFS Pharma Centre is integrated within WFS Denmark since August 1, 2019, headed by Jack Brandstrup as General Manager Scandinavia.
The WFS Pharma Centre has the capacity of providing temperature-controlled end-to-end handling of 300 pallets and 30 PMCs in the 2-8 degrees range, in addition to the capacity of providing temperature-controlled handling space in the 15-25 degrees range at other parts of the cargo terminals.
The facility is equipped with six ramps and cargo doors, two cool rooms, as well as dedicated rooms for AVi and RRY storage, and has direct access to the apron.
