In January-August 2019, Pulkovo Airport served 13.2 million passengers, an increase by 8.6 percent, y-o-y.
The airport's domestic traffic increased by 11.1 percent to 8 million passengers, while the volume of passengers on international routes increased by 4.9 percent, to 5.1 million passengers.
Among western airlines, Air Serbia, Brussels Airlines, and SAS will resume seasonal winter flights, and the Russian carrier S7 Airlines will recommence flights on the routes to Salzburg and Innsbruck in the coming winter schedule.
Operated by Northern Capital Gateway, Pulkovo Airport is the fourth-largest airport in Russia in terms of passenger numbers.
