Oct 18, 2019 (newstodate): Starting from October 10, 2019, a new aircraft brokering and aviation consultancy firm has launched business: Nordic Aviation SIA, based in Latvia.
   Behind the company is Odd Gomsrud building on a rich experience in the aviation industry spanning 23 years till 1996 with SAS, six years from 1997 with airBaltic, and last serving for almost 15 years with Primera till October 2018 with responsibility for technical operations and fleet development.  
    -The main asset of Nordic Aviation SIA is thus an extensive and updated professional network allowing access to key decision-makers in the global aviation industry, says Mr Gomsrud that starts out with two employees tasked with tracing potential customers for charter and aircraft lease contracts as well as aircraft sales and acquisitions.
   -The timing seems to be excellent, considering the global industry's needs for sourcing capacity due to the increase in market demands for flight operations and the current problems with specific Boeing aircraft types.
   -From the start, our immediate focus is on the charter industry, but with full attention also to the needs for aircraft capacity in the next summer 2020 schedule that is already under preparation.
   -At this early stage we are still to ink our first final contracts, but promising negotiations indicate that there is indeed a niche for us to fill, says Mr Gomsrud.
