Oct 08, 2019 (newstodate): The Czech logistics company EGT Express has established a new scheduled freighter service between Europe and China.
Starting from July 31, 2019, EGT Express launched services on the route between Ostrava Leos Janacek Airport and Urumqi Diwopu International Airport, in China, via Tashkent Airport, in Uzbekistan.
After a suspension during Chinese holidays, the route will now be in the air again from October 15, 2019, with two weekly rotations operated by Uzbekistan Airways, using a Boeing 767-300 converted freighter lifting up to 52 tonnes of cargo.
-From the start, we are aiming at a balanced operation, lifting European and US exports from Ostrava Airport into Tashkent and Urumqi, while carrying Chinese exports to Europe on the return trip, says Jaroslaw Spacil, EGT CEO.
