Oct 11, 2019 (newstodate): Since August 2018, Korean Air has been online with direct non-stop flights to Croatia on a year-round basis after years with seasonal summer operations only.
But with short notice, the carrier has now announced the suspension of the flights during the coming winter schedule.
Till now, Korean Air had planned for three weekly Airbus A330-200 rotations on the route Seoul Incheon – Zagreb – Zurich – Seoul Incheon between October 27, 2019, - March 28, 2020, but is now returning to summer seasonal flights.
In 2018, Zagreb ranked #1 among destinations on Korean Air's Summer 2018 charter schedule, ahead of Oslo, Glasgow and Marseilles.
Korean Air paid its first-ever visit to Croatia in September 2010, operating two chartered Boeing 777 flights from Seoul to Zagreb Airport on September 18 and 25, respectively, carrying Korean and other Asian tourists on their first visit to the country.
