Oct 07, 2019 (newstodate): Starting from the summer 2020 schedule, Finnair is rearranging its services between Helsinki and Tokyo.
Pending obtaining the necessary slots, the carrier will be moving one of its currently two flights at Tokyo Narita to Tokyo Haneda Airport while continuing one daily flight on its route to Tokyo Narita Airport, operated for over 35 years.
The new flights from Haneda will be code-shared with Japan Airlines that has also been serving the route between Helsinki and Tokyo Narita Airport since February 25, 2013.
Finnair currently operates to four destinations in Japan – Tokyo Narita, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka - and Japan is Finnair's largest market outside its home market Finland.
The latest addition to Finnair's network in Japan is Sapporo in Hokkaido, where Finnair will start operating on December 15, 2019.
