Oct 15, 2019 (newstodate): The Faroese carrier Atlantic Airways has now handed back one of two Airbus A319 aircraft to the lessor.
As planned, the A319 has been phased out from the airline's fleet by the entering into service of Atlantic Airways' first of two new Airbus A320neo aircraft.
The ex-Faroese aircraft is now starting a new life with Air Malta from October 13, 2019.
In the fleet of Atlantic Airways are thus now one Airbus A319, one Airbus A320 and one Airbus A320neo, and plans are to be operating four Airbus A320neo by the end of 2024.
