Oct 04, 2019 (newstodate): The North Korean carrier Air Koryo has increased its international route network with its fourth destinations: Macau, in Southern China.
Starting from September 27, 2019, the carrier is offering two weekly rotations from Pyongyang with one of its two Antonov 148-100 aircraft.
The route is mainly considered to be a fast venue for North Korea's small, but affluent elite to waste fortunes on Macau's casinos - but some concerns are that it also connects to what is considered a main base for North Korean illegal activities around the world.
The airline's other international scheduled destinations are Beijing and Shenyang in China, and Vladivostok in Russia.
