Jan 18, 2019 (newstodate): Growing its volume of passengers by 15 percent in 2018, Ukraine International Airlines is also increasing its share of the country's total air travel market.
In 2018, the airline thus operated 38.9 percent of all commercial flights in Ukraine, opening a spree of new routes from Kiev to Copenhagen, Cairo, Delhi and Toronto as well as expanding its domestic route network as well.
In 2018 the airline carried some eight mio passengers while the volume of cargo shipments also increased by 12 percent, y-o-y, to 21,348 tonnes.
The airline took delivery of seven aircraft in 2018, including three Boeing 777-200ER and four Boeing 737-800 aircraft and now operates a fleet of 42 aircraft including 30 Boeing 737 NG aircraft.
