Jan 30, 2019 (newstodate): The Swedish/UK cargo ACMI carrier West Atlantic has announced the designation of a new CEO: Lars Jordahn.
Mr Jordahn is replacing the West Atlantic CEO since May 25, 2016, Fredrick Groth who stepped in at the 2016 Annual General Meeting held in the wake of a most turbulent period in the company's history as Gustaf Thureborn, CEO and President and in an executive position with the company since 1995, was unexpectedly relieved of his position.
Danish national Lars Jordahn made his entry in West Atlantic as new Board member at the company's latest AGM held in Gothenburg on June 26, 2018.
After a period with Jordahn Management Services, Mr Jordahn earlier served as TNT Airways Managing Director Global Airlines during November 2014-May 2016, Amapola Managing Director May 2010-November 2014, and served for many years with DHL and DHL Aviation starting from 1984.
-The company is now entering a new phase where the focus will be on reduction of leverage and improved profitability. As part of this change, it has been decided to bring in a new CEO to lead this process, West Atlantic says in a release on January 29, 2019.
