Jan 30, 2019 (newstodate): Nordic Aviation Capital, NAC, has now officially taken in GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, as a new shareholder.
The agreement was announced in October 2018 as a venue to further support NAC's growth ambitions by infusion of fresh capital from the new minority shareholder.
After this transaction, NAC is now the fifth-largest leasing company in the world with a fleet of 480 aircraft and an asset base of $8.3 billion.
In August 2015, NAC entered a partnership with the Danish investment company EQT VI that took 50 percent of the stake in the company set up by Mr Moller in 1990, injecting fresh capital for securing NAC a position as the largest owner and lessor of both ATR and Bombardier aircraft in the world.
