Jan 03, 2019 (newstodate): 2018 did prove another year with record-high cargo volumes through Denmark's Billund Airport.
But the increase was only one percent over last year's volumes, reaching a total of 73,221 tonnes in January-December 2018.
December 2018 itself did not contribute positively to the development, with volumes down 9.1 percent, y-o-y, to a total of 5,466 tonnes and decline in both imports and exports by 6.3 and 10.4 percent, respectively.
In 2018, export volumes continued the increase seen over the last few years, now close to 50,000 tonnes and up 2.7 percent, while imports have taken an opposite road with a drop in 2018 by 1.9 percent to 25,199 tonnes.
