Jan 23, 2019 (newstodate): Qatar Airways has come off to a good start of its service since December 12, 2018, on the new route from Doha Hamad International Airport to Gothenburg.
Operated with Boeing 787-8 aircraft, the carrier is now offering offering five weekly rotations with on the route.
The new routes is the airline's second route to Sweden after services to Stockholm since November 27, 2007, and Gothenburg is now the airline's fifth Scandinavian destinations together with Stockholm, Copenhagen since March 30, 2010, Oslo since October 5, 2011, and Helsinki since October 10, 2016.
Qatar Airways Cargo has been offering more than 870 tonnes of cargo capacity each week out of its four Nordic destinations, and adding the new flights to Gothenburg the total uplift capacity has increased to some 1,000 tonnes per week, including the freighter service starting from January 29, 2013, at Oslo Airport currently operated with four weekly flights.
