Jan 30, 2019 (newstodate): The new Swedish ACMI carrier under formation, Scanblu is not dead - but also still not kicking..
Initially, ScanBlu's hopes were to have the first aircraft in the fleet as well as the AOC in place before the end of April 2018, but the process has repeatedly been delayed as the dialogue with the Swedish CAA has still not been completed, leaving the issuance of ScanBlu's AOC queuing up.
The latest hope was to have the AOC granted by mid-December 2018, but this also did not materialize.
-We remain confident as ever that the last remaining issues will be solved and the AOC granted. But - it does take more time than foreseen, says Bo-Goran Svensson, Scanblu Director flight Operations and Accountable Manager.
The carrier's first aircraft, an Airbus A321 has already been placed on Swedish registration awaiting the AOC and a license to start services to the ACMI market.
