Jan 11, 2019 (newstodate): Norway's FAA is warning pilots of problems with GPS navigation in the northern part of country.
According to a Finish TV channel, the problems with GPS signals extends into part of this country's northern areas as well, and it is expected that the warning will remain in place till the end of this month.
Similar problems were detected in connection with a recent large Russian military maneuver, and Norwegian authorities claim that the GPS jamming is caused by Russian military on the Kola peninsula.
The claim has, not unexpectedly, been vehemently refused by the Russian side.
