Jan 24, 2019 (newstodate): On top of yesterday's news on Turkish Cargo to test the Norwegian seafood market by offering a Boeing 777F freighter instead of the Airbus A330-200F on its Friday flight to Istanbul comes news of Emirates SkyCargo also adding capacity at Oslo Airport.
From this week, Emirates SkyCargo is thus introducing a second weekly flight from Oslo to its hub at Dubai using a Boeing 777F.
Emirates SkyCargo launched freighter flights at Oslo on October 11, 2016, with Boeing 777F offering some 100 tonnes of cargo capacity.
-We continue to monitor the market- and should there be additional demand for capacity, and if it is viable commercially, Emirates SkyCargo will consider frequency increases, Hiran Perera, Emirates Senior Vice President, Cargo Planning & Freighters, told newstodate at the launch of the freighter service in 2016.
Emirates SkyCargo's cargo GSSA in the Nordic and Baltic markets is ScanPartners, with HQs in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Tony Palm in charge of cargo sales in the Norwegian market since January 1, 2019.
