Jan 03, 2019 (newstodate): Only one airline remains of the four companies earlier constituting the Small Planet Airlines Group. Small Planet Airlines Cambodia obtained its AOC on October 5, 2017, as a member of the Lithuanian Small Planet Airlines Group, owned 51 percent by the Cambodian capital company Aviation Invest Cambodia, Small Planet Group with 29 percent and the remaining 20 percent held by the company's chief executives. But with the demise through 2018 of first Small Planet Airlines Poland, followed by Small Planet airlines Germany and finally the Lithuanian Small Planet Airlines, the basis supporting Small Planet Airlines Cambodia is also now crumbling. According to Cambodian media, the country's CAA is to revoke the carrier's AOC, a claim which is however seemingly contested by the carrier itself at this stage. newstodate will revert to this issue after contact with Small Planet Airlines.
