Jan 30, 2019 (newstodate): Kazakhstan's president reigns supreme over his country, including the country's civil aviation.
At his express order, a new low-cost carrier FlyArystan has been set up and will commence services already in H1, 2019, equipped with a fleet starting out with four and growing to up to 15 Airbus A320 Family aircraft over a four-year period.
While a separate company, FlyArystan will cooperate with the country's privately-owned carrier Air Astana.
But it does not stop there: the president has now also instructed the country's airlines, targeting especially Air Astana, to launch flights from Kazakhstan to the USA and Japan.
The president has reportedly stressed that this objective must be fulfilled before the end of this year.
And it would hardly be surprising if Air Astana did not manage to heed the call...
