Jan 24, 2019 (newstodate): Dallas in the USA will reappear as a destination on the route network of Iceland's Keflavik Airport in summer 2019.
American Airlines has announced that seasonal flights between its home base at Dallas Fort Worth Airport, Texas, will be on the schedule again in summer 2019 as was the case in 2018.
American Airlines will, however, now be alone on the route after both Icelandair and WOW Air have pulled out.
WOW Air started flights on the route from May 23, 2018, with three weekly rotations using Airbus A330-300 aircraft, while Icelandair followed suit from May 30, 2018, offering four weekly rotations with Boeing 757 aircraft.
However, WOW Air ceased serving the route with the last flight on October 26, 2018, while Icelandair has closed for bookings on the route from March 2019.
