Jan 31, 2019 (newstodate): The Estonian aircraft maintenance provider Magnetic MRO has opened its seventh line maintenance station: Norway's Brekstad Oerland Airport.
Launch customer for the new line maintenance service is the Scandinavian regional airline Air Leap that operates on domestic routes with SAAB 340 aircraft at the airport.
Opened early in January, the new line maintenance station offers a range of support services including daily and weekly checks, defect rectification and engineering support for Air Leap’s twin-engined turboprop Saab 340s, but expectations are that the new service will attract customers from other airlines as well.
Formerly named Air Maintenance Estonia, Magnetic MRO was acquired by China's Guangzhou Hangxin Aviation Technology in 2018.
