Jan 15, 2019 (newstodate): The Dutch carrier AIS Airlines is stepping in to fill the void after Nordica pulled out from the route between Groningen and Copenhagen.
Starting from March 4, 2019, the carrier will be operating two daily rotations between Groningen Airport Elde and Copenhagen Airport with Jetstream 32 aircraft.
Based at Lelystad Airport, the carrier operates an own route network in Germany as well as in Sweden where the carrier offers domestic flights between Borlange and Gothenburg, Borlange and Malmo, and Orebro-Malmo.
As an extension of the route from Orebro to Copenhagen, Nordica started flights between Groningen and Copenhagen Airport from September 19, 2016, operating an Embraer ERJ145 aircraft on 11 weekly rotations, but pulled out from December 28, 2018, after leaving the route between Orebro and Copenhagen already on July 2, 2018.
