Jan 10, 2019 (newstodate): The Russian cargo carrier Atran has now added a fourth Boeing 737-400 BCF converted freighter to its fleet.
Part of the Volga-Dnepr Group, Atran Airlines launched scheduled flights between Moscow and Malmo Airport, in Sweden, from January 9, 2014, feeding cargo into and from ABC's network.
In 2018, Atran, however, moved its operation to Stockholm Arlanda Airport, following its customers needs, as the carrier tells newstodate.
-The airport sets ambitious development plans with the building of a modern logistics center, maintenance base, and dedicated pier for larger aircraft, Atran's message reads.
-With the winter schedule in place, Atran Airlines will guarantee five weekly frequencies using its Boeing 737 freighter fleet.
Despite the loss of Atran Airlines, Malmo Airport still managed to handle 22,282 tonnes of cargo in 2018, only three percent below volumes in 2017.
