Sep 05, 2018 (newstodate): Launch customer for the Boeing 737-800 Converted Freighter, the Swedish/British carrier West Atlantic has now taken delivery of its 2nd new converted freighter.
As the first aircraft delivered in July 2018, this second delivery will also be put into service with FedEx alongside two Boeing 737-400F aircraft all based at the FedEx European hub at Liege.
According to the latest revised delivery scheme, the third aircraft will arrive at British Midlands in November 2018, with the last delivery slated for February 2019.
Leased from GECAS, the Boeing 737-800 Converted Freighter with a large cargo door is equipped with CFM56-7B engines, and will carry up to 23.9 tonnes of cargo with 12 main deck positions over 2,000 nautical miles.
