Sep 27, 2018 (newstodate): Cargo volumes on Russian carriers increased modestly by 3.4 percent, y-o-y, during the period January-August 2018.
A total of 725,694 tonnes of cargo was carried, of which the country's top-5 carriers accounted for 80.6 percent.
Measured in volumes, the five largest contributors were AirBridgeCargo with 382,111 tonnes, up 4.2 percent, y-o-y, Aeroflot with 140,198 tonnes but down 10.1 percent, Pobeda with 24,721 tonnes but no year-on-year percentage, S7 Sibir with 21,611 tonnes and down 3.2 percent, and Rossiya with 20,438 tonnes, also down 1.4 percent.
Formerly among the Top-5 carriers, Volga-Dnepr is now #6 with 16,917 tonnes and down 28.4 percent, y-o-y.
