Sep 06, 2018 (newstodate): Lithuania's Vilnius Airport is to welcome a new airline on the tarmac in 2019: Georgian Airways.
The carrier plans to launch flights on a new route from Tbilisi in Georgia to Vilnius, starting from April 2, 2019, offering three weekly rotations with Embraer E190 aircraft.
Tbilisi has long been on the wishing-list of the state-owned enterprise Lithuanian Airports, supported by the country's incentive scheme to attract new carriers to launch flights to Lithuania.
Georgian Airways, formerly branded Airzena and based at Tbilisi Airport, is Georgia's privately-owned flag carrier with eight aircraft in the fleet, including also three Embraer E190 aircraft.
