Sep 14, 2018 (newstodate): Sweden's three major cargo airports saw their joint volumes up by 4.6 percent during January-June 2018.
A total of 139,697 tonnes of cargo was thus handled at Stockholm Arlanda, Gothenburg Airport and Malmo Airport, with Stockholm ranking highest as the country's leading airport with increasing volumes in the long-haul traffic.
While volumes at Stockholm were up by 8.1 percent, y-o-y, to 95,913 tonnes, Gothenburg Airport saw its volumes at 31,362 tonnes unchanged against last year, while Malmo Airport is still suffering with a drop by 8.1 percent to 12,422 tonnes.
-Over-all, the balance between import and export is healthy, with an increase in exports by 4.8 percent and in imports with 3.8 percent, says Ylva Arvidsson, Swedavia Director Cargo, in acomment to the statistics.
