Sep 20, 2018 (newstodate): Since September 2, 2018, West Atlantic's second converted Boeing 737-800BCF is in full service with its customer.
Both new Boeing 737-800BCF aircraft are operated by FedEx on routes out of Liege to destinations including Helsinki and Turku, in Finland, and Oslo, in Norway.
With this latest addition to the fleet, West Atlantic is now operating four routes for FedEx with the Boeing 737 fleet, including also two Boeing 737-400F until the remaining two Boeing 737-800 freighters are delivered in Q4, 2018, and Q1, 2019, respectively.
The four freighters are leased from GECAS, equipped with CFM56-7B engines, and with capacity of carrying up to 23.9 tonnes of cargo with 12 main deck positions over 2,000 nautical miles.
