Sep 03, 2018 (newstodate): Export cargo volumes continued to soar at Denmark's Billund Airport in August 2018.
During the month, exports thus increased by another 11 percent, y-o-y, to 4,033 tonnes, while imports were also up, albeit more modestly, by 0.5 percent to 2,452 tonnes.
In total, the airport thus handled 6,485 tonnes of cargo in August 2018, which is an increase by 6.8 percent, y-o-y.
Including August, the airport has been handling a total of 48,443 tonnes of cargo so far into 2018, up 4.9 percent, with imports rising 1.7 percent and exports in the lead with a growth by 6.7 percent.
