Sep 20, 2018 (newstodate): The Swedish Stockholm-headquartered Envirotainer has found a new investor in the Danish biopharma business, Novo Holdings.
Novo Holdings has agreed to acquire a 24.9 percent stake in Envirotainer in partnership with private equity firm Cinven that previously announced the acquisition of Envirotainer in July 2018.
Founded in 1985, Envirotainer develops, manufactures and leases cold cargo containers used to ship pharmaceuticals products.
With production, sales and maintenance facilities in Stockholm, Frankfurt, Dallas and Singapore, Envirotainer has a fleet of over 5,800 containers operated by some 600 customers.
Novo Holdings is the holding company of the Novo Group. A fully owned subsidiary of the Novo Nordisk Foundation, at the end of 2017 it fully or partly owned more than 80 life science companies.
