Sep 06, 2018 (newstodate): While August 2018 did not in itself add to the growth in cargo at Estonia's Tallinn Airport, the volumes handled so far are still 6.4 percent above last year.
In August the airport thus handled 924 tonnes of air cargo including 702 tonnes of cargo and 222 tonnes of mail.
This was, however, down 1.8 percent, y-o-y.
The drop was caused by a fall in cargo imports and exports by 16 and 3.9 percent, respectively.
On the other hand, mail volumes are still performing positively in 2018, with import mail volumes up 17.1 percent and export mail up 78 percent, y-o-y, marking the growth in e-trade volumes.
